Valentine’s Day!

Valentine’s Day is here again!
As you may recall, last year Chef Kelli Daniels lost her father suddenly and we were unable to host Valentine’s Day the way we had intended. However, this year Chef Kelli has created a wonderful and exclusive menu honoring the memory of her father.
Kelli’s father, Chef Lewis Daniels, was a world-class chef who prepared meals for such celebrities and dignitaries as Donald Trump, Presidents Nixon and Carter, and Queen Elizabeth. Chef Lewis was known for his unique fusion of Mediterranean and Lower Mississippi Delta styles of cuisine.
Valentine’s Day Prix Fixe Menu
Amuse-bouche-
- Phyllo cup with remoulade custard and blackened gulf shrimp
Starter {choice per table}:
- Pan-fried organic chicken drummettes, arugula and bacon salad, potato cake, maple dijon
- Jumbo lump crab, classic béarnaise, grilled baguette
Salad {choice per guest}:
- Classic ceasar, ciabatta croutons, shaved reggiano
- Baby spinach, manchego, crisp prosciutto, lemon-chive vinaigrette
Entree {choice per guest}:
- Beer-braised piedmontese short rib, crisp polenta, collard greens, mushroom jus-lié
- Pan seared halibut, sweet potato & andouille hash, roasted brussel sprouts, tabasco-champagne beurre blanc
Dessert {choice per guest}:
- Grilled chicory pound cake, house-made spiked hot cocoa, cinnamon whipped cream
- Gelato cocktail trio: frangelico, baileys, and chambord.
$100 per couple
This unique and exclusive menu is by reservation only and is only offered this Valentine’s Day. To make reservations please email eddie@thedropbar.com and mention Valentine’s reservations in the subject line. We will be open from 5pm with last seating at 9:30pm. Please reserve your table as soon as possible as reservations will fill quickly. Also, this will be the only food menu available on that evening. However, feel free to stop by the bar for cocktails or after-dinner drinks if you have dinner plans elsewhere. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you.
